I am addicted to the thought of having about three different dvd clips or streaming vid/slideshows on my bi-monthly newsletters. I want them to be good topics, not a waste of time.

I did the 3M tape. I have the application of the tape done. I have some cool isolation tips/tricks on another.

?Dealing with "stickies"?

What would you want to see? (specially newbies & freshies)

Some will make it to the newsletter, some will be shared in webinars and some will be saved for my e:book. (ha! B... I am taking up your suggestion!!!)

hello jill, you really are a star, your voice is endless and i am sure especially me that this thread will be going for years, it will never go away because i will be having lots of things for you to help us all i am sure. not every one of course but lots of us should i say.

my only thing about the demo was it was very fast and i would have loved to have seen a real life model having foam eye strips applyed, ( really close up )am i being really cheeky, yes i know. bring on the actresses. watch this space i will be back with stuff, thinking hats on mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm
oh
how to apply the correct amount of cream on the the micro pore tape, and on which part

and all that stuff that everyone else has suggested

just do an A_Z biblelash by jill

Thanks guys.
laura - I do have the model with the eyes being taped xtreme closeup.

sanb52 - I got your email addy, thanks, you are on the mailing list.

I know some peeps are still reluctant to do the IPA trick because its so near the eye. That is already filmed.

I am thinking about my little Mr Miyagi way of dealing with jumping eyelids...
Showing how we use the rings & liner cups different ways...
Holding lashes close at hand so you don't have to go back & forth from tray to eye, tray to eye...
How to build your own air dryer...

Any other suggestions gratefully noted.

Oh yes, Jill I really want to see the use of the pigment cups and rings. I haven't used mine since I dumped adhesive in my friend's hair. I'd also love to see how you tape the lashes to the back of your hand. Different isolation techniques would be very helpful too!
You are so great! Thanks for all your continuous help!

Jill-

Any tips or tricks that you can offer will be greatly appreciated.
I'd love something on "tricky" lashes. I.E. the more criss-crossy kind, curlies etc...
Isolation techniques.
hmmm..
It's still to early here to think of too much else.
I'll have some coffee and try to think somemore.

I think all the suggestions so far have been great, especially the way you set up your lashes & glue close at hand cos I feel like I waste a lot of time w/ my setup and there’s probably a much more efficient way to do it.

The only other things I can add to it is making a little flag out of tape trick. I saw it back when I 1st rooted through all the threads w/ pictures and everyone raved about it but I by the time I got there all the pics were gone and I didn’t really understand.

Also, I’d love to see anything on doing extensions on yourself.

I got the link for the last taping video the same exact day drugstore.com delivered my foam tape. It was my 1st time using it and having your video made it easy from the get-go.

Thank you so much for taking the time to make these vids and share them w/ all of us!

my guess is that everyone finds what works for them. with the bed i use, i have a tv try that i move back and forth.

Personally i like the client flat on their back and i use a mag lamp. some peeps work with their client more of an angle. i am too short to do that. i am also not coordinated enough to use the ring or the tape on the back of the hand. it takes getting used to your own technique. i never felt comfortable with the back of the hand and ring thing. although i can see where it would make it a little faster.

point is jill can show her way but you need to find what works for you.

ps i love you jill you know that this was not a slam your friendly advice is always welcome in my book. You are the queen of lashing. thanks for your help always.

Lashes on, I just need an email address please.
Thanks for the ideas. Hope you will like the newsletter Aug 30th. Its fun putting it together.

(rosie, I feel ya. That did not hurt to read - you are sweet to have elaborated. But that is exactly WHY I'm doing this, so people can try out different ideas to make them better. Some people cannot get it or trust it - a new idea - unless they see it. And there's soooo many new ideas this last year or so.)

I love the 3m tape application..Thank you! I tried it on one of my toughest clients today and it worked great. She is sensitive to the gel pads and we don't do well with paper tape. No lint! Easy removal!

Not a video, but a streaming slideshow. I was experimenting with how I'll add the demo content to my end of August newsletter. Its on a thread of its own somewhere here & there was a hot link to it embedded in our last Lash FX special (the Lash ON/OFF adhesive special).

Anyhoo, if my 5 yr old & her cousin (over for the holiday weekend)give me the keyboard time I need, the newsletter will be sent out later tonight.

Please share it with friends (an unabashed plug for Lash FX, but also to just get the word out that there's h-e-l-p for people who have been taught the safe basics & feel that after that, they are overwhelmed & can't remember how to swim in the deep end)

Here is the link:
