It was certified by Korea Testing and Research Institute for Chemical Industry to be authorized safety certification businesses from above MCIE.
This glue is essentially free of formaldehyde, heavy metals, and toluene. Those levels were specified by the above MCIE of Korea Gov't.....

HAZARDOUS POLYMERIZATION: Will not occur

PHYSICAL and CHEMICAL PROPERTIES

I spoke with Coney several months back, about waiting for this particular adhesive based on the info provided by my vendor/manufacturer at the time. ("formaldehyde free" "Korean Gov't Approved" "Safety Inspected and Tested" "fast drying"...) It just perked my ears and interest. They sent several samples, and I gave it a test drive. I was impressed.

Hi Posh,

Interesting that the MSDS says to avoid alcohol when this is what most of us have been using lately to force a cure.

wow that is exactly what I thought.

I have never read the msds on the other glues or the glue removers i would be interested in those and how they differ from the one you just got.

Do you think this one will work for those who seem to be having reations to the others. I do find that more people are reacting to the lash fx org. than have ever reacted to my nlpb.

Alcohol is a catalyst for polymerization. So is high humidity. When I use the isopropyl *after* completed and dried application, I am ready for the catalyst to effect this chemistry or change, so that it happens on the table instead of over a 24 hour period.

I've tried the alcohol technique with this glue before getting this MSDS, and did not have any ill effects. Just in the past few months I've been trying this glue out, I've been happy with the result. No fume, no odor and fast drying. Tho it's not instantaneous like some, I've been able to lash about 100 lashes per eye set in about 1hr and half.(my record with this glue is 160 lashes... yes, I counted...I usually don't.) I actually used this glue during the taping of my upcoming Instructional DVD, and you can really see how fast it dries. You don't see me using the manual air blower or any drying apperatus, and virtually no stickies. Dries shiney, and jet black. (tho some of you may not like the glue jet black... can't please everyone:))The glue itself is not as runny as most fast drying glue, but not as thick as most original formula. (I like the consistancy. I'm comfortable with it.)I mostly love the fact that it is Odorless, and Sting free. The clients are able to open their eyes anytime during(not recommended, but for those client's eyes that doesn't close shut all the way, or straight after the procedure, and no tearing due to fumes and no blooming.) I have never in the last few-several months experienced any blooming or sensitivity. (based from other threads on this board, it seems sensitivity can happen with any glue at any time...I do not claim that this glue is hypo-allergenic. I don't know if there is such, and can prove it.) The return on this glue has been good.(about 2-3weeks) Not great if you compare it to some glues that claim 6weeks or more. To be honest, I've not had a client that came past 3 wks. My goal is to have my clients come in every 2 week standing appointment so that I may help them keep the base of their lash line clean, and keep their lashes up to its most optimum.
This glue is not cheap, retailing at $125. But for me to know the extent of safty measures its gone through, and knowing that I am giving my clients what "I" believe is the best I can offer them, that in itself is priceless.

This glue will be available as the new website launches.

Coney,

Yes!!! My much anticipated website will be launched hopefully by the end of this month! On this website, you'll not only be able to view and purchase, but it will serve as a learning tool for everyone in the field.

I will have a page dedicated to directory of professionals and professional of the month, where a whole page is dedicated to that one person/business. Chosen professionals will be able to post their before after picture of their work, contact info and etc.

I will also have something like a YOUTUBE'esque function where I answer any technique/product questions with a live/moving picture demonstration and will be creating a "library" for it with a keyword search function. Just click and play what you want to watch!(I personally love this idea) It's also a meeting ground and a networking pool for all lashters to share their thoughts on their techniques, product knowledge and more.

I will have schedules of private, semi-private and small classes posted with option to purchase the classes and kits.

And yes, I will have PAYPAL option as well as a credit card.

I'm hoping to be of help to anyone wether they are a Posh Radiance certified or not. The industry is still new, and I want to do whatever I can to keep this industry in full force with nothing but positive feedback. To me, blogging or chatting the way we do here on this board was not an option, but mandatory to be included in my website. Posh Radiance will be rewarding the most active members on the wesite for their gernerous and valuable feedback/ideas/technique/product knowledge/innovative ways to use certain products...etc with discount coupons and incentives. I hope and wish to have as much interaction and proactivity as possible to help one another.

It's come a loooooong way, and I've worked extremely hard on it.(and money... hehe) I wish to have all members of this board come visit me there when it finally launches! Show your love for poshlash! (hehe) I will still be visiting here to chat, as long as I am welcome. It's been a great learning experience, and truly a previlage to be on this board. I've met such great people from everywhere!
((((((((((((((((((((((MUAH!!!))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Tami,
I know you asked if you can also be listed on my directory of professionals... ABSOLUTLEY! I would be honored to have you on board. Internet is Global. If I can generate some business for you out there my friend, I would be happy TO. e-mail me your info.

Thanks for the encouragement. Lord only knows I need it. With any new venture, at times it was very scary. It still is... There were time I cried from fatigue, and there were times I cried of fear, there were times I cried out of frustration, and there were times I cried just for the sake of crying 'cause it just made me feel better. I don't think I've ever exposed this weakness. I can just say, it's been some ride. Now we just have to waite and see.

Hi Posh,
I look at it this way - if its important enough to suffer tears and still want to complete, then its important enough to get that puppy done.

I hope all your efforts pay off in big ways (not just financially). I believe you are a big gun in the making. Like I told you on the telephone that day, if we end up at the same trade shows, lets make sure we get booths close to each others so we can close ranks with one another and make it fun!

Good luck on all the different parts of the adventure!

Posh,

Wow, what a wild ride! Your hard work and efforts are going to pay off and we are all going to benefit yah!!
I cant' wait to see the new website. It sounds like a very strong tool for us lashers.

If you are going to join us for the lash bash next week, will you bring the adhesive so we can try it? I might want to buy from you but would like to give it a try first.
But most importantly, I cant' wait to meet you!

Me too, I'd love to meet you...all of you really!

Jill: you are too smart, I thought the same thing about the alcohol... basically you're saying: don't get the alcohol near it until you're ready to cure it?

Hi Marcia - just wanted to answer you, although I feel like apologising for highjacking this msds thread a little - well, maybe a side trip, not an all-out highjacking:)

Thats exactly what I meant. Only use the alcohol as your final step. When you are ready to put that cure into play; starting and completing the catalyst action. The two substances do not belong together or else you'd get a dried up glob of adhesive in your bottle.

(remember, that hydrogen - present in water - is also a catalyst... a long time ago, I used to use a bromisateur mist like Evian, Natures' Tears or watersall to force a cure. But, when the lashes weren't fanned/dried sufficiently first, blooming presented in some circumstances, so I shelfed that idea. The reason that the artificial lashes bond well to the natural lash is that there is moisture present on the eyelash hairs. ?ever notice how its a completely different story when you try to bond a lash extension on a strip of lashes - they slip like crazy, driving you crazy when you practice)

The msds is just that - a components list and safety data for accidental ingestion, exposure, safe usage and disposal - its not an instructional for how we are putting the steps together for our purposes - lash extensions. we are always learning something new about that part... hopefully always will. And hopefully, we will always share those revelations & discoveries.
