Mose women want the outer ends of the upper lids wider than the inner, so how do most of you do your EL tails?
do you put a slight wedge to them..building them out as you go up?
do you extend a slight curve from the bottom of the outer corner giving the impression of a lift without the commitment of a wedge?
do you only tuck the eyeliner back in to the lashline at the outer corner and not do a tail at all?

on lowers do you make the outer sometimes thicker than the center and inner or just one thickness?

I have seen some gorgeous flippy/wedge eyeliner done simply because it can look pretty. If a look is for "fashion only" reasons I wont do it though. But, I also dont always stay tight to the lashline either.

I'll help soften what the client may view as a flaw, such as too small or round of an eye. If the eye is too small I may make the outside just slightly, oh so very slightly wider, but its not so much wider as it is that the inside is thinner (if that makes any sense). I'll use a "wedge", primarily because (after consultation) my clients and I usualy prefer to do uppers with an enhancement.

When staying tight, I wont do a flip at the end. I consider that mostly for fashion, and I dont do fashion PM, only PM to enhance a natural look. Just what Im comfy with.

i used to build up the outer corner, never in as dark a color as the ULE, but even that I'm not doing so much any more. I use the Halos (tm) now almost always when we want a thicker outer (upper) liner and just let the color blend (fade) into borderless nothing at the outer end. its softer and no one comes back 2 years later with residual 'tailing'.
tailings, ha..theres a new name.

Just signed onto your message board and who do I see, "Judy" from facecrafters. and of course Liza. It's nice to know the heavy hitters (Pros) are on here. Cleopatra eyes eh?. I try to steer clients away from that look, but suggest just a subtle increase in end thickening and lift a little to bring the eyes up on the outside corners.

yes i agree, the slight wedge at the outer end, slightly thicker and slightly 'up and out' is what most eyes need.

Tony, Tony, Tony, you are right there on my page of how I do upper liners for those who want it thicker on the ends. Just a nice wedge and a bit of an upward movement with my needle. If the enhancement area is done in black I'll do the uper liner in a Black/Brown so it's softer and possiby go over the edge with a halo color to do the wedge. Just depens on how thick they want that wedge.
Glad to see another Italian name on the board!!
