basic message board etiquette Post under correct category. A Thread is a topic. Stay "on topic" when posting within a thread. Start a new thread if you want to change the subject. Personal issues. If a question has little relevance to other readers, address the person in a private email. Never type in ALL CAPS. Readers interpret the writers tone as yelling. No Trolls allowed. A troll is someone who posts with the sole intent of instigating an argument. Trolling will earn disrespect quickly. Trolls are easy to identify after a few posts and may find themselves suspended from a forum. Read the message board for a while before posting your first message. Get to know which topics are cold, which are warm. This avoids asking the same questions repeatedly. Some questions are expected to return from time to time, but it shows good intent if you've done your homework.
